Biographie
William Huggins est un astronome britanique.
- 1852 Rejoint la Royal Microscopical Society, puis la Royal Astronomical Society (1854). - 1856 Construit son propre observatoire dans son jardin à Tulse Hill. - 1870 Docteur en droit à Cambridge, à Edinbourg (1871), Dublin (1886) et St. Andrews (1893). - 1871 Docteur en droit civil. - Président de la British Association à Cardiff. - 1864-1910 Sert au Council of the Royal Astronomical Society, dont il fut président (1876-1878). - 1900...
