Biographie

Maison d'Auguste Comte
John Henry Bridges est médecin anglais.
Fils du pasteur évangélique Charles Bridges (1794-1869. Éduqué à Rugby College et Waldham College (Oxford), où son professeur, Richard Congreve, l’initie au positivisme. Il lit Comte pour la première fois en 1853. Il gagne une bourse pour étudier la médecine à Oriel College (Oxford). Il fit ses premiers pas en internat au St George’s Hospital de Londres et retourna ensuite à Oxford en 1857, période au cours de laquelle il étudie... (lire la suite...)
