La Société des lettres, sciences et arts de la Corrèze est une association fondée en 1878, dont les buts sont les suivants : rechercher et conserver tous les documents qui intéressent le Limousin et plus particulièrement la Corrèze ; réaliser des travaux inédits d'ordre historique, littéraire, scientifique et artistique ; enrichir et renouveler la connaissance du passé pour être une revue annuelle, éditer des ouvrages, organiser des conférences, des colloques et des sorties.
